Duties

Help
  • Takes orders from patrons for food and beverages.
  • Ensures customers are satisfied in service provided and takes action to correct any problems.
  • Presents menus to patrons and answers questions about menu items.
  • Prepares checks that itemize and total meal costs.
  • Removes dishes and glasses and wipes down tables and counters.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Stands and walks for long periods.
  • Continually lifts and carries items weighing less than 10 pounds.
  • The work requires the use of both arms, hands, and legs, and involves prolonged standing, walking, reaching, and light lifting.
  • Must attend team member orientation within 30 days of employment.
  • Must be able to work varying and or rotating shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must meet state/local age requirements (21) at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages.

Qualifications


Minimum Requirement:
No prior training or work experience required.

Best Qualified:
Possess 6 months experience being a waiter in a casual dining restaurant.
The experience listed above must be reflected on your resume to be considered a best qualified candidate for this position.

PCS Costs

FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
